What a doll this little one was! We played with varying textures and tones throughout the entirety of this Houston Newborn Portrait Photography session to bring about a beautiful depth to the images. I’m so happy with how this session turned out!
I love working with little ones like this. Ten tiny toes, the fresh softness of their unblemished, unmarked skin. The perfect embodiment of a mother’s love, a father’s joy. To be able to provide for my clients, images such as these for them to treasure and cherish is such a gift. From experience, I know these first few weeks are incredibly precious and sadly, fleeting. They really do grow so fast. Pretty soon this little bit of sweetness will be an unsteady, adventurous 6-month old ready to learn all there is to know about this crazy world we call home. She’ll grow up, inch by inch, until she’s a teetering toddler. On and on this process will go as we all beg time to please slow down! Let them stay our little ones for just a moment longer!
To me, that’s why these short moments we take to document her fresh start are so vitally important. There will always be here a documentation of this exciting time, not only in her little life, but in the life of all who love her. They will act as a tangible memory of this beautiful period. To show her as she was, in all her delicate beauty- just a few short weeks old. So much road ahead of her, with everyone she loves behind her cheering her on to soar to new heights. But for now, we’ll enjoy and cherish her ten tiny toes and milk-drunk grins.
