Kimberly Burleson Photography, Newborn Photography Katy TX, loves working with all these sweet newborns! I just love how this little girls photo shoot came out. Her mom wanted gold color and warmer tones to match her nursery. I think that the gallery turned out amazing!
Since gold is not a color I have in the studio, I decided to use warm yellows and neutral fabrics to beautifully showcase this perfect little girl. I love using rustic and natural props during my session in order to keep focus on the baby and not have a lot of distracting elements.
Kimberly Burleson Photography uses monochromatic color set ups to keep the final image looking very simple. Instead, I use texture to break up the color a little. Burlap, lace and other natural textures look beautiful photographed and are very timeless. Other style elements I like to include is wool layers. My wool layers come from a fantastic vendor that has such an art for creating beautiful products that have lots of texture and beautiful natural tones.

One of my favorite things about newborns is the tiny little white pimples on their noses. For newborns, I do take out distracting pimples and flakes of skin but I always leave the ones on their noses. I think its the cutest! 
Macro Images and Close Ups
Close up pictures like the one above are some of my favorite images. They really do put the focus on all the tiny details you do not want to forget.
Taco Pose
The pose above is called the “Taco Pose” because they are all folded up. This pose is very similar to how they are in the womb and usually babies love it. In a way, this pose is like they being wrapped up which all babies love! While this pose may look uncomfortable for us as adults, for the baby its one of their favorites.
