Richmond Newborn Studio Photographer | Sweet Chubby Cheeks
This sweet little bundle was such a joy to work with. What an absolute angel! After a quick bottle feeding, we were off to work! What a dream it was for this Richmond Newborn Studio Photographer to pose this little one!
About Newborn Sessions
I try and schedule my newborn sessions for 7-10 days from birth. I do this so I can work with the babies when they’re not only at their tiniest, but sleepiest! Transitioning from pose to pose is so much easier with a 4-day old, than a 4-week old! After these first two weeks, they become so much more alert and aware of their surroundings. Because of this, it’s much easier to startle and upset the baby with the multiple moves we need to make to capture all the sweet images you see below!
It is rare that parents need to bring any sort of prop to these sessions. I’m lucky enough to have gathered and collected countless swaddling blankets, pails, buckets and textural elements to make any newborn session unique and personal. This is a general rule of course! I absolutely love when my clients bring in props that have sentimental meaning to them. It creates such an intimate feeling to the images, and is a wonderful keepsake for years to come.
For this session, we wanted to keep it neutral and let this sweet baby shine! Gosh, I love those cheeks!!
