This mama was absolutely gorgeous! I just loved having the opportunity to work with them. As a Sugarland maternity photographer, I strive to have my clients feel very comfortable with me from the start. I had the honor of meeting this client at a private consultation before her maternity session and cant wait to meet them again at their newborn session! I’m really loving this moms style, I jjust loved the braid detail she did with her hair. It made for a really relaxed and comfortable shoot paired with the casual dress that she used from my maternity closet.
Petzval Lens
Its always fun to bring out a new lens to a photo shoot and even more fun when you have an awesome client to use it on! I purchased a Petzval 85mm Lomography lens right before this session and couldn’t wait to try it out. It has a very unique look about it. Its recreated from one of the first portrait lenses ever and distorts the background to have a swirl effect. The only thing is is that its manual lens, meaning that I have to have a client that is willing strike a pose and keep it for a minute or two until I can get a clear shot. Thankfully my client was very patient and we got to get some really unique shots!
